5-Week Online Employee Experience Design Course (Certificate)

Design Thinking is entering the world of Human Resources Management more and more. This interactive Online Employee Experience Design Course will equip you with the Design Thinking mindset and tools to design a human-centered organization, where people feel recognized, motivated, and engaged.
During the online course, you will be working on an employee-focused challenge under live guidance of our skilled Facilitators. With a combination of live Classroom Sessions, group assignments, and homework you will gain practical knowledge and experience to apply Design Thinking in your daily work. As a result, you will be able to create value for your human resources management.
The Online Employee Experience Course is also available in our Amsterdam Studio, where we can safely welcome a limited amount of participants for some hands-on, ‘learning-by-doing’ fun. Click here to learn more.
With a combination of live classroom sessions, group assignments and homework you will gain practical knowledge and experience to apply Design Thinking in your daily work. The Online Employee Experience Course consists out of 4 modules (8 sessions in total), focusing on the stages of Design Thinking: Discover, Define, Design, Deliver. Each week consists of interactive online classroom sessions, followed by group work. A follow-up call will provide you with the opportunity to reconnect with one of your Facilitators to reflect on your experiences with implementing DT in your daily work. In small groups, together with your fellow alumni you can share your struggles and/or insights and once again learn from each other. A follow-up call will provide you with the opportunity to reflect on the Employee Experience Design and ask final questions to your Facilitator.
Learn how to innovate in HR and create a human-centered organization;
Live and personal guidance from our expert Facilitators;
Identify the priority personas (e.g., a manager, a new recruit, an experienced hire, etc.) and design HR policies and tools from the lens of these personas;
Conduct focused research within your organization to gather important insights, such as empathic interviews, focus groups or employee’s satisfaction surveys;
Identify the moments that matter to the employees, and create rewarding Employee Journey Maps of their employment experience;
Increase your confidence for remote & multi-disciplinary collaboration.
Over a 5-week period, you will meet with your fellow participants and coaches in 2-hour online classroom sessions. We strongly believe in ‘learning-by-doing’. The major part of this online course will consist of hands-on work on a general HR-related case, using the different Design Thinking tools. You will work in co-creation in small teams to learn from each other and incorporate the knowledge and skills of participants from diverse backgrounds and industries.
The tools we will be using throughout the meet-ups are fundamental in Design Thinking and will teach you how to use empathy in designing new services for your end-user: the employee. Aside from guiding you through the Design Thinking process, our expert Facilitators will share their experience and tricks on how to implement Design Thinking in HR. That way you can start applying Design Thinking straight away.

FACILITATORS & COACHES
You will be guided through the Online Employee Experience Course by our highly experienced Facilitators. They have years of experience in working with Design Thinking and know the tips & tricks to guide you on this online learning journey how to implement it within your working environment.
Tim Schuurman is Co-owner and Senior Facilitator at DesignThinkers Academy Amsterdam. He has extensive experience in designing and implementing product/service concepts and has an MBA & MSc in Business and Financial Management.
Jeroen van der Weide is a Partner and a creative-minded Senior Facilitator at DesignThinkers Academy Amsterdam. He has an MA in Dutch Theatre, Film & Communications. Facilitating teams, designing creative processes as well as brainstorming and positioning sessions are his strengths.
Karin Kammeijer has experience working within several HR generalist roles in a multinational. She is now working as an independent consultant with a focus on improving the Employee Experience within organizations.
After successful completion of the 5-Week Online Employee Experience Design Course, participants are awarded a DesignThinkers Academy Certificate and you can celebrate your achievement of becoming a true Design Thinker. All tools and materials will be available after the course for personal use.
