2-Day Design Thinking Facilitation Course March 2020 – Auckland NZ
Learn how to facilitate Design Thinking Workshop sessions in this 2-Day, high energy workshop. To get the best from this learning opportunity you’ll need to have a good foundation understanding of the Design Thinking process as the workshop focus is on applying this knowledge to become a confident and successful Design Thinking Facilitator.
LEARNING BY DOING
After a brief recap of Design Thinking theory and language you’ll dive straight into a hands-on learning experience working on a live ‘design challenge.’ The challenge will revolve around 5 key stages with tools and tuition being provided for each. Each person will have the opportunity to lead one of the stages.
WHAT YOU’LL GET
The objective of the 2-day training is to understand your current facilitation skills, your strengths and weaknesses, and to improve upon your personal opportunity areas through a combination of facilitation practice and personal coaching. The activities for the 2-day training are a balanced mix of theory and practice.
POWER OF FEEDBACK
Each group of 5 will have one DesignThinkers Group facilitator with them at each stage. They, along with your peers will provide valuable feedback to you after your round of being lead facilitator and you will feedback to them. This not only provides insights into our own facilitation strengths and growth opportunities, but also allows us to evaluate and learn from others.
At the end of the 2 days, groups will have successfully applied the Design Thinking process to co-design a solution and individuals will have all had the opportunity to be lead facilitator on one of the stages. Key learnings and take outs from the workshop will include;
- Agenda planning, design and running a design thinking workshop
- Facilitating a Design Thinking workshop
- Using tools to energise and inspire teams
- Identifying and managing different personality types
- Assessing your own facilitation skills
- Facilitation Team Management
- Core Design Thinking Workshop flow
