About this course

We see brands as a power that boost innovation in times of change and create meaningful, inspiring and fair connections with people.

This hands-on course will equip you with mindset, tools and skills to kick-start creating authentically bold brands that reflect the spirit of the time, unleash innovation and connect meaningfully with people, helping them evolve in their lives, as individuals, consumers, employees and citizens, for real.

In co-creation within small teams in a Design Thinking inspired format you will be learning-by-doing and practicing Branding Innovation fundamentals and tools by working on a relevant case. Our highly skilled facilitators will guide you through the brand innovation process, teaching you how to use the brand as a strategic driver when envisioning products, services and experiences for your customers.

What you'll learn

During the two days, the activities will cover a balanced mix of theory and practice, to give you the brand-driven innovation foundation while you learn-by-doing by working on a challenge. Below you find a global outline of the topics that will be addressed during the course.

Branding Fundamentals

Understand what Branding is and its importance to drive innovation culture within organizations, thereby setting guiding principles for how companies can connect with their consumers in a meaningful way. Learn branding fundamentals and how to connect business goals with people's purposes in a meaningful way through branding.

Trend & Market Analysis

Learn how to develop an overall Brand strategy: get to know the main tools and mindset to map and analyze the market context, competitive arenas, map trends, consumer behavior, and capture the “spirit of the time” to identify opportunities and white spaces to create a powerful Brand.

Customer Profile

Deep dive into customers realities, using human lenses, to identify motivations, behaviors needs and desires the brand can fulfill meaningfully

Brand Strategy

Get to know the main tools and mindset to create authentically bold brand strategies that can ultimately unlock creative ideas, drive innovation and memorable experiences, and emotionally resonate with consumers.

Brand Experience

Familiarize yourself with the key tools and mindsets to translate a brand strategy into tangible and meaningful experiences throughout the customer journey.

COVID-19 Protocol

At DesignThinkers Academy, we take our social duty very seriously when it comes to protecting the health of our valued participants and dear team members. Therefore, please have a look at our new COVID regulations for our in-person training, in compliance with the COVID-19 safety measures of the Dutch government:

  • As of February 25, 2022, we can welcome you to our studio without a demonstration of a Digital COVID Certificate or QR code. However, we do highly encourage you to do a self-test before coming to the studio.
  • If you are diagnosed with COVID or have COVID-related symptoms, we kindly ask you to contact us so we can rebook your ticket.
  • During the training days, it is no longer mandatory to keep a 1,5-meter distance or wear face masks. However, you are free to continue these practices if they make you feel more comfortable during the in-person sessions.

Our goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment in which we can continuously stimulate creativity for both participants and facilitators.
