Live, interactive online course that inspire bold innovation
We strongly believe in learning-by-doing. The major part of this online course will consist of hands-on work on a general HR related case, using the different Design Thinking tools. You will work in co-creation in a small team to learn from each other and to bring in the knowledge and skills of every participant to the table. The tools we will be using throughout the meet-ups are fundamental in Design Thinking and will teach you how to use empathy in designing new services for your end-user: the employee.
Aside from guiding you through the Design Thinking process, our expert facilitators will share their experience and tricks on how to implement Design Thinking in HR. That way you can start applying Design Thinking straight away.
Program 1-Month Online Employee Experience Design Course (Certificate)
The course consists of 4 modules, focusing on the 4 stages of Design Thinking: Discover, Define, Design, Deliver. Each week consists of interactive Online Classrooms, followed by group work.
We find it very important that you feel comfortable, secure and motivated to work together for the upcoming weeks in this online learning environment. Therefore we have incorporated a short on boarding moment at the start of the first session.
Module 1: Discover
We kick off with an introduction to Design Thinking principles, tools and best practices. We dive into the challenge with tools such as Stakeholder Map, Mind Map and Affinity Map. After successfully completing Design Research, we wrap up the Discovery Phase by creating strong Personas.
Module 2: Define
This module is dedicated to finding interesting opportunity areas: understanding frustrations, anger and problems to find problems that are worth solving. created empathy: understanding the end-user’s needs, frustrations and ambitions. Using the Customer (or Employee) Journey Map we identify impactful moments within their decision-making process. With that knowledge we reframe the challenge into Problem Statements.
Module 3: Develop
Now we have a good understanding of the problem area, it’s time to develop new solutions. Ideation! We will work with several ‘divergent thinking’ tools and cluster these ideas in an Idea Priority Map. The following step will be to prototype these ideas using Service Scenarios and artefacts.
Module 4: Deliver
The final week will focus on testing the Prototype and improving the concept. It’s the end of the first Double Diamond loop. This iterative process will be concluded by making a strong Pitch. We conclude our Classroom sessions with time to reflect and develop your personal implementation plan.
After completing the 1-Month program and assignments you can celebrate your achievement of becoming a true Design Thinker! You will receive your personal Design Thinkers certificate and access to all tools and materials.
No previous experience with Design Thinking is required.
