Course Description

Design Thinking for Digital Transformation January 2020

How can your business compete in a digital world of uncertainties, volatility and complexities?

We are in a Digital age and except organisations adopt a human-centric approach, catching up with competition may be a mirage. Digital transformation comes with complex and highly undefined problems. Therefore, the pursuit of a digital transformation strategy for a competitive edge can be daunting because of internal and external factors that can significantly complicate, derail, hinder and delay the achievement of organisational goals. Some of the known challenges to effective deployment of digital strategies include resistance to change, lack of a clear vision, data overload and utility, rigid development processes, and business models that are continually being re-evaluated. Design Thinking may be the right answer you are looking for. It is a human-centred and forward thinking tool that helps tackle these fuzzy problems by using a fluid, flexible, hands-on approach in interacting with consumers and developing user-driven solutions.

What are some of the Digital Transformation processes that could be addressed using the Design Thinking Methodology?

– Reinventing business practices with Digital Transformation

– Digital transformation strategies

– Digital customer relationship management

– Digital transformation of creation and marketing of products

– Digital transformation of internal systems

We strongly believe in ‘Learning by Doing’, so the DesignThinkers Workshop is a high energy and hands-on event. You’ll be challenged to work in small teams on real cases and learn to work with the Design Thinking tools like Personas, Cultural Probes, Customer Journey Mapping, Value Network Mapping, Prototyping, Business Modeling, Road Mapping and more. Moreover, a focus of the program will be on exploring the question of how to integrate these tools.
This training program is designed to apply Design Thinking in an organisation and how to create a buy-in within the organisation and sponsors. Besides the training program, participants will be handed out a toolkit, certificate and access to the DesignThinkers Academy Network environment.

Together with the coaches, you will find answers to:

– How can you successfully apply Design Thinking in solving complex business problems with digital transformation?
