ABOUT THIS COURSE
With a combination of live classroom sessions, group assignments and homework you will gain practical knowledge and experience to apply Design Thinking in your daily work.
The course consists of 6 sessions in total covering the Discover, Define, Develop and Deliver modes of the Design Thinking program. Each week consists of interactive online classrooms sessions, followed by group work. A follow-up call will provide you with the opportunity to reconnect with one of your facilitators to reflect on your experiences with implementing Design Thinking in your daily work. In small groups together with your fellow alumni you can share your struggles and/or insights and learn from each other.
What you will learn
Design Thinking for Employee Experience is an interactive online course that will equip you with the Design Thinking mindset and tools. It will help you to humanize and reimagine the work place in the digital age; where people feel recognized, motivated and engaged.
You will learn how to use Design Thinking to empathise with and co-create deeper more meaningful employee experiences. At a high level, you will learn how to navigate through uncertainty, to research and find opportunities for end users. You will then receive guidance on how to reframe a design challenge. And then you will learn to generate ideas and test appropriate and relevant solutions that add value to stakeholders.
Design Thinking is entering the world of Human Resources Management more and more. This course helps participants learn to unlock human value. You will find opportunities to identify how to collaborate with stakeholders such as Line Managers or Human Resources to improve staff engagement.
After successful completion of the 3-Week Online Employee Experience Design course, participants are awarded with a DesignThinkers Academy Certificate marking your transition to becoming a Design Thinking practitioner. All tools and materials will be available after the course for personal use.
Learn how to co-create a human-centred organization;
Live and personal guidance from our expert facilitators;
Identify priority personas (e.g., a manager, a newly recruit, an experienced hire, etc.) and design more authentic human experiences from the lens of these personas;
Conduct focused research within your organization to gather important insights, using techniques such as empathic interviews combined with employee journey mapping;
Identify the moments that matter to the employees, and create rewarding staff experiences;
Increase your confidence for remote & multi-disciplinary collaboration.
Over a 3-week period, you will meet with your fellow participants and coaches in 3-hour online classroom sessions. We strongly believe in learning-by-doing. The major part of this online course will consist of hands-on work on a general HR related case, using the different Design Thinking tools. You will work in co-creation in small teams to learn from each other and incorporate the knowledge and skills of participants
from diverse backgrounds and industries. The tools we will be using throughout the meet-ups are fundamental in Design Thinking and will teach you how to use empathy in designing new services for your end-user: the employee. Aswell as guiding you through the Design Thinking process, our expert facilitators will share their experience and tricks on how to implement Design Thinking in HR. That way you can start applying Design Thinking straight away.
