(English spoken) The DesignThinkers Bootcamp is a unique opportunity for you to learn the principles and practices of Design Thinking from a diverse team of internationally recognized coaches from the worlds of research, design, business, and academia.
At DesignThinkers Academy, we believe in learning by doing and the power of human-centered design as a strategic and competitively differentiating tool. The DT Bootcamp is a high energy, deep-dive training, combining hands-on learning with personal coaching. You will walk away equipped with the tools and methods needed to implement Design Thinking in your organization.
The purpose of DT Bootcamp is to equip you with powerful design tools and methods that enable you to reach your professional and personal goals.
WHO WILL BE YOUR COACHES?
Our team of expert coaches and facilitators will share their experiences during the DT Bootcamp and will guide you and your workshop team as you solve a real-world design challenge, from the research phase to designing concepts. We will cover strategies for implementing new solutions using Design Thinking in organizations.
Ann Conway is a design strategist who partners with major organizations to create new customer experiences at the intersection of human needs, technical innovation, and organizational capability. Ann has led design and innovation initiatives in financial services, health care, hospitality, CPG, and AI-driven service design. She has deep expertise in designing qualitative and quantitative research that articulates human needs and points to solutions for messy business problems. Ann also teaches Service Design at the Institute of Design and Innovation at Brandeis University.
John Bielenberg is a co-founder of Future, where he makes thinking wrong your secret weapon, leading design blitzes for business, talent, marketing and foundation leaders to develop innovation and stakeholder value. John is also the founder of Project M which inspires and educates young designers and creatives by proving their work has a significant impact on improving communities.
Robert Bau is a heavy-weight strategist and thought leader in service innovation, branding, and marketing with more than 15 years agency experience in shaping customer expectations and experiences in our post-industrial society. Between 2011 and 2014 Robert played an instrumental role in building the first MFA and BFA service design programs in the US. Robert is currently Senior Service Design Director at Fjord.
Mark Ciesko is a creative and empathetic design leader who believes in the power of team genius. He leverages over 25 years of diverse experiences in senior leadership positions in an agency setting and working for two Fortune 50 companies, where he crafted new approaches to innovation and design thinking. Currently, Regional Manager and Director of Design Thinking at GE Healthcare, Mark’s focus is on leveraging empathy across the healthcare journey not just for clinicians, but patients and families as well.

Our team of facilitators will focus continuously on your teams’ progress as you go through the different activities of the Design Thinking process.
Marc Bolick leads the US office of DesignThinkers Group, working to help clients find creative solutions to complex problems and to embed design thinking as a strategic advantage in their organizations. With over 20 years of experience in various aspects of product and service design, Marc has worked in a variety of sectors and clients including General Electric, Michelin, SAP, Coca-Cola, Qualcomm, Bank of America, Electrolux, Master Card, the US Agency for International Development, the US Food and Drug Administration, and a variety of early-stage companies.
Ezequiel Williams is a business strategist, service designer, ethnographer, and innovation consultant passionate about helping organizations better understand their customers and create offerings that people want and drive brand loyalty. He works with leaders to solve complex problems using a combination of design thinking, anthropology, and business tools to create value for organizations’ customers as well as their employees.
During this week-long experience, you’ll learn why, when, and how to conduct ethnographic research, build personas, create customer journey maps, construct prototypes, identify value exchange among stakeholders, and more.
You will also work closely with four different expert day-coaches, and with other participants to grapple with questions like:
How to successfully implement Design Thinking in a fast-paced business environment, especially if there’s little capacity or appetite for change?
How to build greater empathy in your organization in order to identify and address the needs & wants of your customers, employees, and other stakeholders?
How to increase your tolerance for failure and create an environment where you learn faster?
How to create a sustainable culture of innovation by design?
The DesignThinkers Bootcamp has been crafted for leaders who are seeking new ideas, methods, and strategies for addressing the complex challenges facing their organizations and communities.
Often described as a human-centered approach to innovation, Design Thinking is being used across the globe in a wide range of settings and industries, including public and private corporations, non-profits, universities, and government agencies. We will share stories and case studies of how this methodology has been applied, such as:
Co-creating solutions with partners and customers.
Developing new products and services that meet the real needs of real people.
Designing experiences focused on attracting and retaining customers and/or employees.
Our main objective is to provide you with hands-on tools that you can use immediately the next day in your working environment.
Besides the training program you will be handed out a toolkit, certificate and access to the DT Academy Network virtual environment.
The end result is aimed at a transformation of the participants, knowledge of tools and methods, a deep understanding of the value of design, and professional & personal growth.
