Upon successful completion of this course and fulfillment of all learning and participation requirements, graduates will be eligible to apply for the DTA Certified Design Thinking Facilitator Assessment Preparation Course. This official assessment is organized annually by the DesignThinkers Academy Headquarters and serves as the global qualification process for recognizing advanced facilitation competence in Design Thinking practices. The details of the Preparation Course is as follows:
(1) Aims
This intensive 6-week program equips graduates of the AI Design Thinking Facilitation Certificate Course to lead a real‑world AI Design Thinking project in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of 4 human members and at least 1 AI agent. By integrating human‑AI facilitation practices, the program enables participants to apply Design Thinking principles to solve challenges strategically.
(2)Outcome
- Lead a short-term, real-world innovation or improvement project with human and AI collaboration.
- Apply essential Design Thinking tools and AI techniques across the Double-Diamond execution process.
- Facilitate innovation teams with a combination of Human members and AI agents.
- Translate a challenge into actionable, tested, and impactful solutions.
- Demonstrate readiness to apply the DTA Certified Design Thinking Facilitator credential.
(3) Format
This intensive 6‑week preparation is structured as a real‑world project execution journey, commencing immediately after the 1‑Day Project Design Session. During the briefing, participants will receive a comprehensive orientation to the 4‑week project timeline, guidance on formulating an appropriate challenge statement, and an overview of the 30‑minute interview with 2 assessors assigned by DesignThinkers Academy Headquarters.
To keep participants supported throughout their project, three 1.5‑hour follow‑up sessions will be held in Weeks 2, 4, and 6, offering helpful feedback and practical guidance for their real‑world project execution journey.
By the end of Week 6, each candidate is required to submit an evidence‑based project report to DTA HQ that summarizes their process, outcomes, and key insights. Afterwards, a 30‑minute online interview—conducted by a DTA HQ‑assigned Design Thinking expert—will allow candidates to present their project and address follow‑up questions from the expert. Following the interviews, final assessment results will be announced within four to six weeks.
