Learn how to apply Service Design Thinking to the rapid innovation of customer experiences in multi-channel product-service ecosystems together with the authors of ‘This is Service Design Thinking’ and ‘This is Service Design Doing’.

About this course
In this highly practical workshop you will experience the power of Service Design Thinking first hand. You’ll not only become familiar with the fundamental tools and methods of service innovation, but also learn about the strategic design process and key skills of facilitation.
You will learn about the Service Design process, methods and tools by working on a project in a small team, with short periods of reflection on the theory behind contemporary service innovation methods. You will experience several different co-creative styles and have the opportunity to practice your own facilitation skills. Additionally, a unique framework is introduced that integrates the Service Design tools with your business model and your operations and business strategy.

Intro to Design Research and Research exercise. Research and Research Wall. Personas.

System Maps. Journey Maps and Emotional Journey.
Day 04: 4.5 hours (including breaks, Q&A etc)
Insights and How-Might-We. Case study. Ideation. Mid-course reflection.

Prototyping 1. Prototyping 2.

Future-state Journey, Dramatic Arcs. Service Blueprint. Business Model.

Masterclass on Project planning. Masterclass on Embedding / JM Ops.

Masterclass on Facilitation (60 min). Meet the practitioners. End-of-course reflection.
Day X: 2 hours (date to be confirmed with participants)
Optional extra Q&A session some weeks after the course to reflect on your experience of applying what you have learned.
Certificate
After successful completion of the 2-Week Online Executive School ‘This is Service Design Doing’ course, participants are awarded a DesignThinkers Academy Certificate and you can celebrate your achievement of becoming a true Design Thinker. All tools and materials will be available after the course for personal use.
COVID-19 Protocol
At DesignThinkers Academy, we take our social duty very serious when it comes to protecting the health of our valued participants and dear team members. For this reason, participants interested in joining us at our Creative Studio in Amsterdam are more than welcome, if you are able to provide:
A) Digital COVID Certificate (QR code);
B) Proof of a negative PCR-test, within 24 hours of the first day of training;
C) Proof that you recovered from COVID-19 less than 6 months ago.
If a participant cannot comply with the above mentioned requirements, they will not be able to participate in the course. Our goal is to create a safe environment in which we can continuously stimulate creativity and allow all participants and facilitators to feel comfortable.
