The Design Thinking Training for Innovation Leadership offers a unique team of highly experienced Design Thinking practitioners from the business, design and academic world. A combination of Master Classes and in-depth knowledge of Design Thinking Tools and Methodology.
We strongly believe in ‘Learning by Doing’, so the Design Thinking Training for Innovation Leadership will be a high energy and hands-on event. You’ll be challenged to work in small teams on a real case and learn to work with Service Design and Design Thinking tools like Personas, Cultural Probes, Customer Journey Mapping, Stakeholder Mapping, Value Network Mapping, Prototyping, Business Modeling, Road Mapping and more. Moreover, a focus of this program will be on exploring the questions how to integrate these tools in an organisation and how to create buy-in within an organisation and with your sponsors.
The end result is aimed at a transformation of the participants, knowledge of tools and methods, a deep understanding of the value of design, and professional & personal growth.
WHO WILL BE YOUR COACH?
The coaches will share their experiences during the three days and will guide you and your team on a specific topic during the process from doing Research to Designing Service Concepts and Implementation of these Concepts in complex organisations.
Robert Bloom, Managing Partner DesignThinkers Group SA; Experienced Service Designer and Systems Thinking Practitioner. Robert has just under 25 years of experience across the globe in building innovation capability and customer-centred strategies.
Daryl Lim, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, DesignThinkers Academy Asia. He has 14 years of experience in designing and creating a wide range of people related solutions. He has designed and co-created business and people management strategies working around employee career journeys.
Colin Skelton has designed and facilitated many creative workshops in South Africa and globally, with a diverse range of people and teams. He applies principles and practices from the theatre and the creative arts, using tools such as role-play, storytelling, story presentation and open space technologies to explore human-centred approaches to team innovation.
Katherine Train, will be your research and empathy coach. She has researched the application of empathy in organisations through the lens of the emerging South African development as a new democracy, with its cultural and resource diversity and history of social upheaval. Katherine has been facilitating workshops on empathy and related topics since 2005 in corporate, NGO and the public sector.
Abbas Jamie, will be your Business Coach. He is a seasoned businessman and corporate executive with a strong track record of experience in both government and private sector. Abbas drives innovation in Aurecon on an African scale with a focus on developing new innovation narratives for Africa.
